According to The New York Times, in the statement, Trump praised Duffy as an "excellent and beloved public servant", possessing the experience required to lead the Department of Transportation. The department has an annual budget of over 100 billion US dollars and a large workforce.
It is reported that Sean Duffy served as a congressman from Wisconsin from 2011 to 2019. Currently, he is the co-host of the Fox Business Channel's 'The Bottom Line' program. Before entering politics, Duffy rose to fame due to the MTV reality show 'The Real World'.
